About Penny FS Technologies
We started by building Penny, a pension for women. Now we build brand-new financial products for brokers — designed with the same care and tested with real customers.
The hardest part of a financial product isn’t the product. It’s getting people through the door.
Penny began with a simple question: why do 40% of women in Ireland have no pension? The answer wasn’t a lack of products. It was jargon, paperwork and journeys nobody finishes.
So we designed one people do finish. Today Penny looks after more than 400 clients and €6m in pensions — and the same thinking powers Penny Junior, Penny Grow and PIA by Penny.
Now we put those journeys in brokers’ hands, under their own brand, so more people get the financial security they’re missing.
Research tells us where people stop. Design removes the reason.

Founder & CEO, This is Penny and Penny FS TechnologiesLesley founded This is Penny to accelerate women’s journey to financial security. Before Penny, she was Head of Design Thinking at Bank of Ireland Group.
She holds an MPhil from Goldsmiths, London and Trinity College Dublin, and a Bachelor of Design from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology. She has served on the Board of Governors of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, and on the boards of the National Gallery of Ireland and the Institute of Designers in Ireland.
